Got a phone call from some firm trying to scam me, plus some bloke named Paul from Liverpool ringing me on 07517974301. They were pestering me to buy advertising deals and kept pushing for payment first in a week then after two weeks.

Beware of this dodgy outfit, claiming to sell adverts in some bogus magazine called HWRK. It's all a con - best to steer well clear!

Beware of this so-called "hmwrk mazagine" scam. There’s no actual magazine by that name. They hit you up offering advertising for small businesses, trying to get you to pay upfront. After that, they bug you relentlessly about services you never agreed to, charging you for adverts you never wanted. Total rip-off.

This number gave me a really bad time. They kept threatening me but refused to say their name or what company they were from. I decided to search the number and found this page. The guy called me an idiot and said bailiffs would come on Friday. Then, I got another call today with the same threats, saying bailiffs would be here on Monday. If this is some kind of scam, those people are seriously nasty.

Watch out for HWRK Magazine, total scam! These lot will try every trick in the book to get your money. Don’t even think about handing over a single penny of your hard-earned dosh. Feels like a dodgy bailiff or a CCJ joke, really. Stay far away!

I ended up falling for this con, ended up paying around £1000 for two ads even though I only ordered one. They asked how many copies of the magazine I wanted, and I said between 5 and 10. But after the second ad was supposedly done, I only got one copy. Then they rang me saying a third ad was due and I had to cough up another £600. I’d already told them to stop contacting me after the second ad. Then they started threatening me with legal action. A couple of months later, they called again claiming “the anti-bullying campaign is successful and now I owe for the ad.” I never signed up for anything like that. After that, they phoned me pretending to be county court bailiffs saying they were coming to seize my stuff. Luckily, my daughter’s a barrister and in her words, it was “complete rubbish”.

Absolute scam. Despite using a Liverpool number and address, these lot are really based in Chester. This is the third bogus mag linked to Chester I've come across in recent years. The earlier ones pretended to be for the police and emergency services but, just like this one, they're totally fake. They only print a handful of copies to show to advertisers so they don’t complain. No actual copies get distributed anywhere else.

The number is 07761580937, and the bloke claimed he was from Merseyside. Honestly, this company is a bunch of scammers who tricked my father-in-law out of a load of money. Luckily, I’ve got a phone tracker ready to catch them for good. I even made a fake Facebook profile to see if they’d get in touch, and sure enough, they fell right into the trap. Bring it on - now it’s our turn to shut them down. I’ve managed to find out where their office and houses are, so it’s only a matter of time. The authorities won’t lift a finger, so we’re handling it ourselves.

Loads of calls coming in from half a dozen numbers all claiming to be from HWRK magazine. It’s clearly a dodgy operation, complete scam. They promised to feature just my painting business and no others - yeah right! I’m this close to telling them there’s a bomb in reception waiting for those muppets. Absolute numpties. 👍

I got a phone call about some really late payment and they said they’d post something to me, but nothing’s turned up yet. Now they're bombarding me with emails. Waste of time really. Even checked with some schools around Torbay and they have no clue what "hwrk" is. Total nonsense!
