I had a rather peculiar encounter with a bloke claiming to be a crime prevention officer, who seemed eager to sell me some advertising for a crime prevention project of theirs. However, when I probed for additional details, he abruptly hung up. Many of us are in agreement that this certainly gives off the vibe of a scam!
