I received a rather alarming call supposedly from Customs and Excise, asserting that I was implicated in a tax fraud investigation. They urged me to press 1, warning that failure to do so would lead to my imminent arrest. Naturally, I didn’t press any buttons. Even though I’m completely innocent, the whole situation was quite distressing, to say the least.
