Somebody rang me pretending to be from a debt collection agency, saying I had an outstanding amount with Regus. They tried to get me to pay up for a debt I never knew I had.

Somebody rang me up saying they were from Microsoft and even used my name, trying to tell me my PC was at risk. I told her everything was working perfectly, but she insisted it was infected with some sort of problem. In the end, I just ended the call.

I refused to turn on my PC and he got really mad, kept saying he was with Microsoft. I ended the call but then he rang back and had someone else call me up asking why I was cutting them off. Weird, honestly.

She rang up saying she was from Microsoft, but I told her my husband handles all the computer stuff. I muddled through a bit and then just ended the call. Funny enough, she rang again asking why I’d cut her off - seemed like she thought I was interested or something!

Got the answer machine, no voice note though, just loads of noisy chatter in the back like one of those call centre places. Pretty sure it's a scam.

Some lady rang and wanted to speak to me by name, I told her she wasn’t in. Then she got really pushy asking where she was. I explained I’m just the cleaner and asked if she could leave a message. She said I was being nosy and that I should just listen to her - turned out she was a total ####.

Got a call from someone claiming to be Microsoft, saying my computer was hacked or something. I asked him which computer he was talking about and he just said the main one 😂. Then I asked if it was a laptop or desktop and he didn’t even know 😂. I tried asking about the operating system and he said he had no clue 😂. Didn’t bother wasting more time, just ended the call.

Got a call earlier from a chap who claimed to be with Microsoft, and he spoke with an Asian accent, calling himself Leo. The guy rang me a total of seven times in just ten minutes! The last call came from a woman, also with an Asian accent, stating she was phoning from a hospital. I didn’t catch the name she mentioned, so I decided to cut the conversation short and hang up. Quite suspicious, if you ask me!

I got a call from someone claiming to be with Microsoft, said they wanted to discuss my computer. I asked, “Which one?” and he goes, “Do you have more than one?” I told him yeah, loads of them - desktops, laptops, even a Mac, since I run a computer repair business. Then he asked if I’m a techie, and I said yes. Right after that, he just ended the call. Bit odd, really.

Some woman called claiming to be “Gracie from Microsoft,” which seemed odd because I wasn’t aware they had a branch in Liverpool, plus Microsoft usually doesn’t cold call. Her English was pretty rough, thick South Asian accent, and she insisted I had a Windows PC, but I don’t even use one. When I told her not to argue with me, she snapped back with “shut up!” and then just ended the call.

Got a call claiming to be from Microsoft about my computer, and I quickly told them off. The person on the other end began yelling at me, clearly trying to gain remote access or something dodgy. They were really pushy and aggressive while shouting, which made me suspicious. What really gave it away was when I said hello and it took ages before they replied. Definitely felt like a sketchy and menacing situation to me.

I got a call from this number just before midday. Since I didn’t know who it was, I let the voicemail pick up. Rather than hanging up when it kicked in like I thought it would, the person on the other end was clearly talking to someone else in another language. To my shock, they then called me by my surname and said, “hey, hello… some words in Hindi maybe? Hello Mr (xx), you there? I can hear you breathing, speak up!” After that weird bit, they just ended the call. Really odd and intrusive behaviour.
