I got a call from Consumerlifestyles.co.uk claiming they were doing a survey, but really it was just market research pushing stuff like life insurance and warranties for washing machines or will writing companies. If you want to stop getting their adverts, you have to unsubscribe through the address they give. Total waste of time, if you ask me.

I've been getting loads of calls from these people claiming to be from some lifestyle company or something. I block one number, and then another pops up straight away. I've heard from relatives of numerous heart patients who passed away, and they’ve been in fierce discussions over their policies a whole year after the funeral. When I mention this tidbit, it feels like they hit a brick wall; their trainers clearly don’t equip them for this kind of conversation. So, I say, let’s be a tad nicer while chatting... then throw down the phone with a chuckle! Quite the strategy, wouldn’t you agree?
