I got a call from Consumerlifestyles.co.uk claiming they were doing a survey, but really it was just market research pushing stuff like life insurance and warranties for washing machines or will writing companies. If you want to stop getting their adverts, you have to unsubscribe through the address they give. Total waste of time, if you ask me.

They rang me three times, so I just blocked the number.

They never even asked for my name properly. Then they started jabbering about some market survey or something. I’m not into taking surveys over the phone, so I just ended the call. So tired of these annoying calls.

I've been getting loads of calls from these people claiming to be from some lifestyle company or something. I block one number, and then another pops up straight away. No idea who they really are, but it feels like they're just trying to get personal info to scam you somehow. Definitely watch out for them!

Sounds like one of those call centres - you answer and there’s this awkward few seconds delay before anyone speaks, which feels ages in this day and age. When they launch into their usual spiel about “Over 50 guaranteed life cover” or whatever, I usually say it sounds easy to sign up but an absolute nightmare when it comes to claiming. Quite a few folks from our support group, who’ve lost loved ones to heart conditions, have shared stories about the family squabbling over their policy even a year after the funeral. Whenever I mention that, the line goes deathly quiet; I reckon their trainers don’t brief them on that. So my advice? Be polite... then just hang up on them! Haha.
