Just received a phone call at precisely 16:06 on the 14th of July, 2010, and it was rather peculiar, to say the least. The caller had both our name and number, which was quite alarming. He claimed to be following up on a supposed claim regarding an accident I had been involved in over the past three years. He rambled on about it being ‘government backed’ and all that jazz. It’s worth mentioning that we haven't lost any personal information or anything else for that matter, so we’re left to ponder whether these individuals are somehow acquiring or pilfering details from our online accounts. Fingers crossed that our name and number are all they’ve managed to secure! Oh, and by the way, he had a proper scouse accent-need I say more?

We received an eerily similar call just a moment ago (16:06 on 14/07/10). He had our name and number, clearly, and claimed to be following up on a purported claim related to a car accident I was involved in over the last three years. The spiel was remarkably identical, mentioning 'government-sponsored' support among other things. We haven't experienced any identity theft or loss of personal belongings, so it leads us to suspect that these individuals might be either buying or pilfering details from our online accounts. Fingers crossed that our name and number are all they've managed to harvest! And by the way, he had a distinctly Scouse accent. Enough said!
