Had a call pretending to be from HMRC about a fraud investigation, telling me to press 1 or risk being arrested. Of course, I didn’t press anything and no one showed up to arrest me. From what I’ve seen on the internet, if you do press 1, you get put through to a costly premium number with someone pretending to be your caseworker. Eventually, they ask for your bank info and probably other private details too. Honestly, the best thing is just to hang up straight away if you get one of these calls.
