Got a call from someone claiming to be from HM Revenue and Customs. They said there was some sort of fraud involving me and told me to press 1 to fix it. When I said I was recording the conversation, they hung up right away. Definitely steer clear of these calls.

0151 096 4685, looks like it’s from Liverpool. Got a call from this number and it was a dodgy recorded message saying I was being looked into by HM Revenue. They told me to press 1 to get more info or else I’d be arrested right away. When I did press 1, it went through to someone with bad English. As soon as I mentioned I was recording the call, they hung up straight away. Total scam, best stay clear!
