Got a call from this number earlier and it creeped me out because the caller instantly used my last name! I quickly told them they had the wrong number because that’s not me. Despite that, they kept rambling about some Windows issue (I actually use a Mac). I just played along for a bit, listening to what they said. Then they asked me to type something in and read it back to them, which I did. Next, they told me to press “ok” - I refused and hung up straightaway. Now they won’t stop ringing me back.

Got a call from some Asian woman, told her I don't own a computer, and she accused me of lying! Then an Asian bloke rang shortly after, I told him to quit ringing me, and he just told me to f*** off. Ridiculous!

Got a call from 0151 090 6357, which turned out to be one of those Microsoft con artists. It was a woman, sounded like she was from Asia. Let her go on for a bit, then said I use an Apple computer (which isn’t true), and she just ended the call straight away. They’ve called me before, and when they started saying I had issues with my PC, I challenged them to tell me my IP address if they’re so sure. That shut them up real quick too. Best to humour them for a while, then throw them a curveball like saying you don’t even own a PC.

I got a call from a guy with an Asian accent, said he was from Microsoft and there was some issue with my account. He told me I had to do exactly what he said or they’d block my internet. He sounded pretty convincing, and I reckon someone less careful might have fallen for it. I wasn’t having any of it though, told him where to go and hung up. The number was 01510906357 if anyone wants to watch out for it.

I keep getting calls from 01510906357 every couple of days. They say they're from Microsoft but the line is awful and crackly, plus the person has a thick Asian accent. I usually just play along and try to keep the conversation going, have a bit of banter since they totally lack any kind of humour. At least this way I’m wasting their time instead of some poor soul getting caught out. Watch out for this scam! Don’t do what they say about ‘fixing’ your computer, they’ll hijack it remotely and then demand loads of money to get it back.

Really dodgy experience here. They said they were from 'Microsoft' but couldn’t answer even simple questions, just kept saying: "your computer’s got a virus". Then they started swearing at me. Totally not to be trusted.

I got a call and an Asian woman picked up, so I just ended the call straight away. I never deal with any business stuff on the phone, no matter who's calling!

Picked up the phone only to have it cut off immediately - totally a sales scam, I reckon. Just blocked the number straight away.

I got a call from a woman with an Asian accent who said her name was Emma Claire and claimed to be ringing from Microsoft about issues with my computer. I asked her for her contact info and number, but she just told me to find it on their website. I said, why should I bother searching online when you’re literally on the phone to me? Then she wanted to know why I needed a number, so I explained I wanted to verify her identity before calling back. She ended up giving me a phone number that wasn’t the one shown on my 1471 - it was 02232463073.

Got a call from a bloke with an Asian accent saying he was from Microsoft, warning our PC was compromised. Earlier today, I had a call from 01710605489 which I reported already. Now, a new number popped up - 01510906357. It's so frustrating. You'd think Microsoft would step in and put a stop to these scams, but they probably just say it’s out of their hands or something.

Seems like those scammers from the Far East still try that Microsoft trick. I honestly wonder if there’s anyone left who actually believes their stories nowadays.

I saw an unknown number pop up, so I looked it up before calling back. Good job I did, otherwise I might've wasted my time. Cheers for the info!

Some bloke ringing up saying he was from Microsoft about issues with my PC. Told him MS don’t ring people directly, but he insisted I was wrong and told me to check their official site. Then he went off on a rant, calling me “illiterate” and suggesting I ought to reconsider how I was raised. Bit late for that now, I’m long retired.

They said it was Microsoft calling, but I'm pretty sure it's a scam.

I've gotten 4 calls over the past 3 days, all supposedly from Microsoft but ringing from different numbers each time. They all had different area codes, but the main number always started with 0#0 like 0151 090, 0171 060, and 0131 050. It’s so frustrating, especially since I don't even own a Microsoft computer! I tried signing up with the TPS ages ago but it’s pointless, they don’t seem to do anything to block these annoying calls. Been on their list for years with zero luck.

It's funny how loads of scam calls come from some Asian bloke using classic British names like Pete, Steve or Brian. I find it quite amusing and I usually chat with them for ages just to stop them from tricking anyone else while I'm at it. :)

Got a call from the typical "Microsoft" scammers today. Let them waste time chatting a bit before I threw some advice their way.

Got a call from a bloke claiming he was the primary user of my computer server or something daft like that. I quickly told him he was talking nonsense and then he got really nasty. I just kept him on the line as long as I could, hoping to waste his time a bit.

some guy with an asian accent called me saying he was from microsoft and asked why i'd been ignoring their calls. he told me this was my final chance to fix an issue with my pc, which is a load of rubbish since i dont even own one. i just replied thank god and blocked his number straight away. honestly, these calls are getting way too annoying. {hope he faces a slow, painful something in return.}

Got a call from a guy claiming to be ‘Brian’ from Microsoft, said my PC got hacked. Told him Microsoft never calls like that, but he kept pushing that he was legit. I told him I wasn’t falling for it and i’d report him to the cops. Then he lost it, swore at me saying “go ahead, do it now b##ch” and then just hung up. 22.
