I got a call from a Liverpool number and thought it was my mate from there, so I was pretty chuffed at first. But then some bloke with an Indian accent answered and started telling me I owed taxes to HMRC and needed to pay up. It was a proper scam try, and I was well gutted about it.

Heads up! Got a call from someone pretending to be HMRC warning me I’d be arrested if I didn’t press a certain button. Sounds like one of those scams where they try to scare you into handing over cash or bank info. I’ve already let HMRC know about it. Stay safe!
