Got a call from someone claiming to be with BT Openreach. When I told them I don't use BT, they suddenly said they wanted to put me on a BT contract. The call came from a busy call centre, and the person had a really strong Indian accent. Was definitely a cold call.

I received a call from an unfamiliar voice purporting to be from BT, inquiring about my internet connection and whether it was a suitable moment for a chat. Oddly enough, they didn’t even bother to use my name. I decided to investigate the number, and it traced back to somewhere in Loughborough, linked to what seems to be PBR Bookkeeping, nestled somewhere between McDonald's and Burtons/Greggs - I suspect it might even be from a flat above those shops. Quite peculiar, isn't it?
