This morning at around 8.15 I got a call but no voicemail was left when it went to my answer machine. People need to understand these calls come from automated systems that dial through huge lists randomly. If someone picks up, the call gets patched through to a real person. If no one is free, they just hang up but keep the number flagged as valid for another try later on. If you feel anxious about these sorts of calls, just hang up straight away and ignore whatever they say - 99% of cold callers are either pushing a sale or trying to scam you.
