I got a call from an automated voice saying it was HMRC about some supposed fraud. The message said if I didn't press 1, I'd be arrested. I just ended the call straight away!

Sounds like they’re just ringing to check if someone picks up so they can mark your number as active and dump it to other spammers. Best thing to do is just block ’em straight away! Spamming’s so annoying!

I picked up and hearing nothing for a few seconds, then suddenly a click like someone joined. A lady asked if our director was there by their first name. I told her he wasn’t free, and she just hung up straight away. Definitely felt like spam to me.

Got a couple of calls today on my mobile from this weird automated number. It had these weird gaps like it's trying to trick you into thinking a real person is on the line. Luckily, Vodafone flagged it as spam so I knew not to bother.

What a nuisance these calls are! I told them I wasn’t interested but they just keep ringing the very next day. There really ought to be rules stopping companies from this. When I block one number, they just ring up from another. Absolutely frustrating!

I seen a missed call from this number when I was out driving so couldn’t pick up. No idea if it was some telemarketer or just spam since there wasn’t any voicemail or message left behind. Hard to tell what it was about really.

i'm always a bit wary when unknown numbers ring me. i didn't answer the call straight away and only checked it out the following day. turns out, someone else got a call from that same number too.
