Just got a call from some company saying I’d been in a car accident - sounded like a total scam to me. Definitely not falling for that!

so this guy who said he was a special agent called me claiming i didn’t pay enough taxes and that i was gonna get arrested soon. he wanted me to press 1 to talk to someone who could sort it out and let me pay what i owe right away. i didn’t fall for it and simply said no, then they just ended the call.

Got a voicemail from someone speaking with a British accent saying it was HMRC, telling me I'm being looked into for tax fraud. They said I should press 1 to talk to the right team. Sounded dodgy to me.

Got a missed call from a number I didn’t recognise. Looked it up here and realised it’s a scam. 50 times I’ve deleted calls like this now.

this number keeps ringing me pretty often. ive reported it loads of times but nothing happens. they play a prerecorded message saying ive won some special prize or whatever, but i just hang up as soon as i hear that. id say just ignore and hang up on it too.

I got this automated call claiming I'd won £1000 or an iPad. Weird, because I never signed up for any contest! Definitely looks like a scam to me.
