Got a bloke on the line claiming my PC was full of viruses from some dodgy websites. He mentioned he had a reference number for me and asked me to check it on my machine. Told him it’s a work laptop and I’d have to get our IT team to sort it out. He just chuckled, said “have a good one,” and then cut me off. This is the third time I’ve had this same call in just a few days.
