Pretty much any NHS person can ring you and show this number on your caller ID, so it doesn’t really tell us who’s on the line. It’s like when your local doctor’s office calls but withholds their number. If they leave a voicemail, that’s a bit helpful at least. But honestly, what are we meant to do after hearing the message? I reckon it varies with the call, but usually these callers aren’t expecting you to ring back. They just want to push things through on their own timetable, it’s mostly a one-sided thing.
