Got a call from someone with an Indian accent who actually knew my wife's name. I get loads of these dodgy calls with the same accent, so I just say straight away, "You've got the wrong number." Even though I'm ex-directory and on the TPS, these scammers somehow still find a way to get my details. Nowadays, I just let it go to voicemail, and it's funny how often they hang up as soon as the answerphone kicks in.

Glad I checked the reviews first, just got back and discovered my call guardian picked up calls from this number, so I've gone ahead and blocked it. I’ve already blocked about 33 of these annoying pests - honestly, they should be taken care of properly. The TPS and ICO aren’t doing a thing to shield us folks in England from these scams. I was a bit annoyed buying the BT Call Guardian, as I didn’t actually need a new phone, but with all these pesky foreign numbers pestering me, I really couldn’t go without it. K41

Got a call from a blocked number, some bloke with an Indian accent claiming it was a survey. Seemed dodgy, so I just ignored it.
