Got a call from a number that looked like it was from my own area code. The person claimed I’d been in a car crash as a passenger at some point in the last three years. I asked for more info and they mentioned 2014, but then said they couldn’t share anything else because of data protection rules. They said they were Burkehill Underwriting, based on Couper Angus Road in Dundee. When I rang the number back, it turned out to be some place called Your Vehicle Consultants. Totally dodgy, definitely a scam!

I got a really pushy call about a crash I supposedly was in, which is completely untrue. The guy shouted at me asking, "Then why do you show up in the records?" This wasn’t the first time they’d called, either. I just ended the call.

I got a call from these lot, and before they even say why they're ringing, they ask me to prove who I am. And just when I’m about to reply, they just hang up! What a joke, honestly. Proper frustrating!

Got a really annoying call from this number, they didn’t pick up but left a voicemail about some car crash I supposedly had, which I didnt. Wouldn’t recommend answering it, just block straight away.

My daughter, who has Asperger's, got a call on her mobile today from this number. She genuinely believed one of us had been in a crash and was totally freaked out! I can't describe how much distress and worry it put her through. It's awful behaviour, and when you try to call back, it just goes straight to voicemail!
