i've had two calls today from this number where no one says anything except 'goodbye' before hanging up. it's really getting on my nerves now, so i've reported it as harassment. looks like it's from the Looe, Cornwall area code.

Got a call on my landline from someone claiming to be Amazon. They told me I needed to pay money into my account because they hadn’t got the payment, but I told them my internet wasn't working. I said I don’t even have an Amazon account and that it all sounded a bit dodgy. Then they just hung up on me.

My phone buzzed and when I picked up there was just silence on the other end. Suddenly, a robotic voice came through saying "goodbye"! I've gotten calls like this in the past too. I have no clue what the purpose is but figured I'd mention it here in case anyone else had the same experience. I’ve flagged the number as ‘unknown’.

totally a con. this person claimed to be from amazon prime, tried to pull one over on my dad. lucky for me, my 92-year-old pops is really sharp about dodgy calls. watch out, folks!
