Got the same ring earlier - didn’t answer, sounded like some Indian accent, no idea who it was. I never pick up calls from numbers I don't recognise. They always say they're from TalkTalk. If TalkTalk genuinely needs to get in touch, they can just write me a letter. Usually I just tell them in Hindi to "go do whatever with your goats" and hang up.

It's beyond me why these individuals haven't faced any consequences yet. It seems the authorities in this nation are turning a blind eye. If we all came together, we could certainly ensure these culprits end up behind bars where they belong.

Somebody called saying they were from Talktalk's tech team. I didn’t really want to get involved, so I just told them I didn’t want to chat and ended the call. Have blocked the number since then.

Had two calls this morning from someone claiming to be Talk Talk about an issue with our router. I told them straight up they’re scammers and ended the call sharply. Honestly, it’s maddening that they’re still allowed to make these calls. Makes me feel really sorry for anyone who falls for their rubbish.

I got two calls from this number earlier today, and it definitely felt like a scam attempt. Since I'm on TalkTalk, I took advantage of their call blocking feature by dialling 14258 right after they hung up, then hitting the # button twice. Honestly, it's a great tool that really cuts down on these annoying scam calls. The only real risk is if someone listens to what they say and goes along with it, so for me, I’d classify it as just plain harassment.

i keep getting loads of annoying calls claiming to be from 'TalkTalk' but they use local numbers now, which is getting kinda sneaky. ive blocked tons of them but they just pop up again on different lines. ive been on the no cold calling list for ages and my number is unlisted too. makes me wonder if they are just guessing numbers or maybe got hold of people's contact details through some hacking or something? really frustrating!

Got a call from a man with a foreign accent saying he was from the "technical department". When I told him I knew it was a scam, he started getting hostile. Ended the call and blocked the number straight away.

This lady with a foreign accent called, saying she was from TalkTalk and there was a problem with my broadband. She said I needed to switch on my computer so she could sort it out. I told her I'd not used my computer since last year, but she kept pushing me to turn it on. When I refused, she got really annoyed and just ended the call. She phoned me two more times after that, which was so frustrating. Fingers crossed they get caught soon.

Missed the call from 01502725295, but checked the last caller with 1471 and recognised the number. What I tend to do is let them talk their usual nonsense, then I jump in with “Funny, I don’t even use that service!” If they mention BT, I usually reply with “Actually, I’m with Apple.” That always seems to make them hang up quick! I’ve reported these scammers to Action Fraud before - maybe not this exact number, but at least the authorities know about these sorts of calls.

Supposedly it was TalkTalk, which is weird since they've said before they don’t do any calls like that. When I get calls like this, I try to keep the person talking for ages so they can't bug others right away. I once managed to keep someone on for over half an hour! And about those blinking router lights they mentioned? Totally not a sign of any problem.
