Got a call from an Indian bloke who said I was eligible for a personal medical alarm. He was pushing for my address and asking for some kind of payment. I told him to get lost, honestly. Pure con artists, no doubt.

Yet another call where there’s nothing but silence on the line. No message was left on the answering machine, which only confirms what I suspected-another dodgy scammer at work.

I’m getting really sick of all these scam calls. Honestly, I think I was a bit harsh with the last one that rang me. They just keep phoning up and telling complete rubbish. Don’t trust a word they say.

This woman called me saying I ought to get a Careline pendant, saying it would be safer for me since I’m 50 and supposedly a pensioner. When I told her that you don’t actually get a pension in the UK at that age, she got really quiet and hung up on me. Bit strange if you ask me.

This bloke kept telling me I had to have a medical alarm and that he’d send one through the post. I told him I was already sorted with one, but he tried saying he’d swap it with a newer model. I mentioned my company just updated mine not long ago, so it was still fresh. He claimed he was ringing from London, but the phone code didn’t match up at all. When I flat out refused, he suddenly got quite shouty, so I just hung up.
