I picked up and then quickly ended the call. When I tried calling back, the number didn’t seem to go through at all.

Someone called pretending to be from BT, saying they were going to disconnect my elderly mum’s phone line because apparently she was using loads of internet data. But she hasn’t got any computer, laptop or even a smartphone! She’s 84 and quite fragile, so it really scared her. It’s awful that people would do this, especially when her phone is literally her only connection to the outside world. Honestly, I’m sickened by these scammers - hope they feel good about themselves.

i keep getting these dead air calls, its so annoying. these scammers just dont quit. honestly, the real problem is the businesses that are peddling out the phone numbers to them.

I picked up the call and the woman on the other end just said goodbye and hung up! Quite strange.

Got a call from a guy with a strange accent, said he was from BT about my internet. Sounded dodgy to me.

i answered with a quick hi and this robotic voice just said bye and cut the call. then about an hour later the same number called again. this time i didn’t even say anything and still got the same automated goodbye before it hung up. total useless lot just wasting time trying to boost their call numbers fake style to seem busy or something.
