Just got a call from this number again, seems like it’s still going on, date today is 16th September 2020. I didn’t pick up this time but I did before, and the caller was quite rude when I said I wasn’t interested. Told ’em I’m already insulated and don’t want anything from their New Government scheme. Feels like a scam to me. Best to ignore it.

A woman with a Welsh accent rang me up, asked for me by my name and even gave my address. She said it was about my gas boiler. I asked her how she knew if I even had one. She replied that nearly every house in our area has gas boilers (??!!). Then I asked where she got my phone number and info from. She just talked over me and asked how old my boiler was. I had to speak louder just to get her to hear me and told her to take my details off their list and to stop cold calling me.

Got a call from this number today, the person said they were from consumer energy working with south hams & west devon councils. They asked if we had a gas boiler (which we don’t, as our village doesn’t use gas). Then they said there might be grants available for a new oil boiler later on and we wouldn’t need to be on benefits to qualify. They gave me a website, but when I tried to open it, it showed the south hams council site which wouldn’t load properly. Feels like maybe they hacked the council’s website or something.

8/1/18. Got a call from a Welsh woman claiming I qualified for a grant, she even knew my name and that we’ve no mains gas. Told her the house had been demolished so no grant needed, she just said alright. Definitely not taking calls like that again, fed up with all these annoying calls.
