I got a call from someone speaking with a thick accent, kind of like Indian, who said they were from Google Internet Security. They claimed my internet licence was at risk and that hackers were using my account for dodgy stuff. They told me to turn on my computer and all that jazz. I ended the call and blocked the number via 1572. But no sooner had I done that, they rang back from another number. I asked them where they were calling from, and they said California but couldn’t provide a proper office address. I hung up once again and blocked that number too. This kept happening repeatedly, with calls coming from different numbers like 01887221495, 01962854353, 01495272877, 01962856666, 0175291103. Seems like they’ve cloned loads of numbers so blocking one just means they ring from a different one straight away.
