Received a call earlier today from someone purporting to be from a service that blocks nuisance calls. The chap was rather charming, I must say. I informed him that I’m already enrolled with BT's Telephone Preference Service and their 1572 feature. He insisted that they provide a superior service, but I wasn't convinced and he couldn’t change my mind. Eventually, I just set the phone down softly and let him chat away to himself. The number has now been relegated to my 1572 junk folder!

I find myself in a rather troubling situation with this persistent caller that's been ringing my ageing parents. My mother, who has some hearing difficulties, struggles to catch the name of the company when they ring, and my father isn’t in the best of health. I’m their Power of Attorney and take care of all their financial matters, so I kindly request that these calls cease immediately. It's distressing for them, and I appreciate your understanding in this matter.
