Reports on phone number 01495228291
9 yearsI got one of those scary pop-ups on my computer warning me that if I didn’t ring back within five minutes, all my files would be wiped. I knew it was a scam, so I dialled the 0800 number out of curiosity. I left the phone on loudspeaker nearby to irritate whoever was on the other end. Did this around five times, then after about twenty seconds picked up. A lady with an Asian accent told me she’d call back since I mentioned my computer wouldn’t respond. This was the number that showed up when they called me.9 yearsCalled by 01495228291 from Pontypool, Gwent on 1st September at about 5:45 pm. The bloke said his name was “Frank” with a foreign tone, telling me my electricity bill was unpaid and they were going to disconnect me. I asked him which company he was with, and after a bit of silence he said “British Electricians”. I told him I’ve never heard of that firm and could tell he was just winding me up, especially since I was right in the middle of my dinner. Then I hung up on him.PontypoolGwentFrankSubmit Your Own Report (01495 228291)
