They first called me about some kind of survey with vouchers, said no purchase was needed. I said I wasn't interested, but they rang back a few times after, so I just stopped picking up.

Got a ring on my mobile around 10 in the morning on Tuesday, 11th July 2023 from 01494972882, which is a High Wycombe number. It was a busy call centre at the other end. A woman asked if I was "Mr Barber?" I don't take calls out of the blue, so I just ended it. After reading the comments here, it sounds like it’s either sales or a scam. I’ve blocked the number now.

Today, I got a ring on my landline from a bloke with a posh English accent. He knew my name pretty well, said he had it from his database. He claimed his firm wanted to help cover some of my shopping with a voucher, but only if I accepted a free gift from them as a sort of thank you. I asked him straight up, "Why would you be giving me a voucher and a present like that?" I wasn’t convinced, so I just told him no cheers.

Today I got calls twice, once from an English lady around 11:38 and then about 50 minutes ago from an English man. Honestly, these scams are getting out of hand.

Got a call on my BT number last Tuesday, 17th May, from a nicely spoken woman with a British accent. She offered me a £30 gift voucher if I agreed to try out some product for 30 days at home. I told her politely that I don't usually take cold calls and never share any personal info on the phone. It sounded a bit dodgy to me. The product was called ‘Comfomatic’ - I reckon it’s aimed mainly at older people and might just be a tactic to get them to agree to a pushy sales visit. The caller ended nicely with a thank you and hung up. I did find that Comfomatic does have ads online, though.

Got a call from some random number, the line was dead silent for a bit, then suddenly they just said "bye" and hung up!! No clue who it was.

They were trying to get me to buy shopping vouchers, said it was a special deal or something.

yeah, it was one of those marketing calls from an English lady doing the cold calls. they were polite, so hard to be outright rude, but straight off the bat she hit me with the usual pitch from the script. then she jumped into asking personal stuff without even checking if i wanted the info. that’s when i figured no point wasting time, so i ended it early so she could bother someone else. i’ve blocked the number now, bet they’ll try ringing from a different one next round.

Oh, it was definitely one of those marketing calls. A British lady was on the line, doing the usual cold calling. They are quite polite, so it’s tricky to be harsh with them. But she went from the scripted intro right into personal questions without checking if I wanted to hear more. That’s when I thought, no more of this, and ended the call quickly so she could bother someone else. I’ve blocked the number now, so I guess they’ll have to ring from another one next time.

I got a call from some woman with a British accent trying to sell me something out of the blue. She said she was ringing from Comfomatic UK and offered me a £30 shopping voucher if I let them come round and show me their products at home, with a chance to try them for a bit. I just said no thanks and ended the call.

I received a rather dubious call from a woman who purportably wanted to give me a £30 voucher along with some tempting discounts for shopping. However, it quickly became apparent that her true intention was to fish for my bank details. It's always the same story with these scammers, especially those with foreign accents!

Got a call from a woman offering a £30 voucher plus some sort of shopping discounts. I politely declined but she kept pushing, which was pretty annoying. Seriously, do these folks not get the word NO? I’m starting to think I must have done something to end up on this weird call list because it’s been non-stop lately.
