Got a call earlier from a bloke with an Indian accent saying my router was messed up. The number came up as 01782 283667. I hung up straight away, seemed like a total scam to me and probably unsafe to engage with.

Got a call early mornin' at about 8:40 on the 24th of June, 2021. The bloke said he was Tim from BT's tech team, told me my router line had some kind of fault and asked for the details from the label underneath my router so they could fix it. I said I wasn't a BT customer, and he just hung up. Thought it was dodgy, so I reported it to the ICO. Reckon it could be risky to give out that kinda info.
