I received a call from someone trying to entice me with a fantastic mobile offer, but then they started asking for my provider information. I promptly declined to share any details with him. Curiosity got the better of me, so I inquired about how he obtained my personal info, and, predictably, he just cut the connection. To top it off, his command of English was quite dreadful, and the call quality was so bad that it was a real challenge to make sense of what he was saying.

I received a rather dubious call earlier from a chap who had quite a pronounced Asian accent. He was attempting to peddle an iPhone 12 deal and probing me for personal information, such as the type of phone I owned and the price I shelled out for it. It struck me as a scam, so I decided to hang up and swiftly blocked his number. It’s concerning, really, as I can see how easily someone might get caught up in such a ruse!

First of all, the phone deal they're promoting is suspiciously low-priced. When I pressed him on which network he was referencing, he replied EE-quite odd, considering I'm actually with BT. So, I requested he delete my number from their records. Without missing a beat, he sneered, "Well, ta-ta, you absolute tosser!" and promptly ended the call.
