Got a phone call this morning from someone selling stuff, honestly couldn’t catch what they were on about. Pretty sure it was just another scam. The call was from the UK, so why on earth didn’t my Telephone Preference Service block it? Absolutely pointless! Plus, they rang me at the crack of dawn. What do they expect to achieve with that, seriously?

Got a call at about 9:20 in the morning. There was a pause before some bloke called "Samuel" started talking. Said he was ringing from Microsoft about my PC. I told him to get lost pretty quick. Now his number’s blocked.

Got a call from an Indian bloke named Patrick who said my computer needed updating and wanted to get remote access. I told him I’m actually working in a computer store and we’ve got about 60 computers here, so which one exactly? Didn’t seem to like that answer at all 😂😂. Blocked the number straight away.

Got a call this morning at 7.46 for my 89 year old mum. The person claimed they needed her bank info to sort out her computer.

Got a call about my computer, but I told them I wasn't the person in charge of it. Then they started asking where the actual user was, and I told them it was nothing to do with them. After that, they got really rude and started yelling. Such a horrible person to speak to. I said I’d report them and then ended the call. Problem is, since it wasn’t a sales call, I can’t figure out where to report this kind of harassment. This is the second time in a few weeks they’ve called with the same aggressive behaviour. Number’s blocked now.

Got a call from some bloke claiming there’s an issue with my mum and dad’s Microsoft account, tried to get remote access to their PC. He was proper pushy and wouldn’t take no for an answer. Their computer’s still on Windows XP, which Microsoft stopped supporting ages ago. The worst part is, he kept calling again and again - it felt like harassment to me. Definitely sounded dodgy, like a con artist or something.

These lot are proper nutters! They’re so rude and aggressive, like total newbies pretending to be pros, probably just trying to rope in one poor sod daily to fund their scam. What freaked me out was that they knew my name - definitely a targeted call, not some random dial. Clearly, they’re using some dodgy database that breaks data protection rules. It’s mad how, even now, phone companies and authorities can’t seem to track and shut these scammers down. And honestly, these calls keep getting worse by the day.

This number keeps calling me all the time, so I used BT call minder to block it. It still tries to ring but just ends up in my junk folder now. It’s one of those common ones, not just this specific number, like the “your computer is in danger” type of calls. I traced it to a place called “Crunch Point” when they asked me for my card details to install some kind of protection software. Totally a scam, watch out!

Got a call at 9 in the morning and it sounded like one of those TPS scams, but the connection was really bad. They somehow knew my name, where I live, and when my debit card is due to expire. I’m planning to get in touch with Santander about this soon. Fortunately, I was just given a new card not long ago. I hung up on them, but they were bold enough to ring me back, and then called again just a little while ago.

Got a call from 01494778605, guy spoke with an Indian accent and asked for my wife by her full name. I mentioned she wasn’t home and asked if I could assist instead. He claimed he was from Microsoft, saying there was an issue with a Windows computer. When he asked if I used the PC, I told him we only use MACs here, no Windows at all. Suddenly he got really annoyed and actually started threatening to [###] my wife. Proper disturbing.

Got a call from a man, said his name was Alan and he’s from Microsoft, talking about my computer. I told him I’ve got about ten computers at home, so he asked which one, said it was my personal one. I told him all mine are for work. We ended up arguing over which one he meant. I got fed up with the shouting and just hung up, then blocked the number. These calls are driving me mad, can’t someone do something to stop them?

About five minutes back, got a call from someone claiming to be with Microsoft asking for my computer ID. I told them I actually work at Google and was currently hacking into their system. They didn’t say much after and just ended the call. Pretty funny really!

At 09:51 this morning, 01494778605 gave me a ring. The phone went straight to answerphone and played a message asking to leave a message. Since no message was left, I guess it wasn't anything urgent. After checking out the comments here, I've decided to block the number. Lesson learnt: if you don’t know the number or there's no voicemail, it’s probably not worth worrying about. Sometimes they keep their number private anyway, so better to respect that and just not pick up.

Does anyone reckon there’s any point in dragging these calls out, or is it just pointless? Thought about telling my MP, but she’s Conservative and probably has enough on her plate already. Someone phoned me saying there was suspicious stuff going on with my computer. They've rang a few times this week, like 3 or 4 times, saying there’s a computer problem or something. Then another time they were blabbing about my TV - don’t get it! On Saturday morning around 08:54, I got a call from a young bloke with an Indian accent, saying he was Max from Microsoft about my computer. I asked him to be specific about which computer he meant, and after a pause he said my laptop. I told him I don’t own a laptop at all, and then he just hung up straight away. Makes me wonder how they got hold of my number - probably a data breach somewhere with my details floating about!

I had a call come through on my BT Guardian call blocker but it cut off and no one said anything. I tried calling the number back on Skype without showing my ID, and I got this robotic voice with an American accent saying, "Sorry, this call can’t be completed." I've blocked the number now and reported it as well.

I told him my computer wasn’t even switched off. He got angry and started asking why I’d want to hack into it. Then suddenly, he began shouting abuse, calling me a Mother F.R. When I mentioned I was recording the chat and would report him to the police, he didn’t back down. Lucky my daughter was recording the whole thing a couple days ago.

Got a call from a guy who said he was from Microsoft, but there was loads of noise in the background so I could barely catch what he was saying. I ended up putting the phone near my radio just so he could hear some of the tunes from Radio Merseyside. Kept him hanging on for about five minutes, wasting his time instead of mine. This morning I got a call from a lady named Andrea, speaking with a strong Asian accent, claiming she was from Microsoft about some issue with our PC. When I mentioned that Microsoft had actually phoned us yesterday and everything was sorted, she just didn’t get it. She kept insisting she was from Microsoft and said we could spend as much time as we needed to fix the problem. The moment I called out that the number's area code was for High Wycombe, she didn’t know how to respond and ended the call abruptly.
