I got a call from this number again today, saying there was an unpaid bill. They rang last month too, my mate took a message but when I looked at our DHL account, it showed the invoice was already settled, so never bothered ringing back. This time I just told her the invoice was paid according to my records, she said thanks and ended the call - I guess she realised it was a waste of time!

Got a call from someone pretending to be DHL about a parcel I was keeping an eye on. I had already put the tracking info into an Android delivery app a few hours before. Didn't pick up coz my phone flagged it as Spam. This was the same number other folks have talked about. The number they left to ring back didn’t match either DHL’s official one or the one that called me. Also, checking genuine DHL tracking online showed no sign of any HMRC clearance issues. 28 Mar 2023 @ 16:26 Don’t trust the good reviews on here, this site’s a total SCAM, nothing real about it. They’ll email and text you, trying to sound all professional on the phone. It’s a proper scam, looks like there’s usually an Indian or Asian person answering. If you ring DHL on 02476 937 770, that’s their actual number, you’ll end up chatting with a white English person with no accent at all.

For sure DHL calling here. I think the call came from a call centre in India but the connection was awful. At first I just ignored it cos ‘Wotcha’ flagged it as a dodgy payment scam. Turns out it was real though. I was expecting a parcel from Europe and ended up having to cough up a hefty amount in duties and taxes to get it into the country. They called to let me know about the charges, and I also had proper text and email from DHL confirming it. So be careful, but if you’re waiting on a delivery from Europe you might need to pay some import fees!

A guy with broken English calling, sounded like he was Asian. He spoke so fast that I couldn't really catch everything, but I definitely heard the word ‘tax’. Really poor call - the woman claimed I owed some import fees and said she’d send me a link, but an hour later, still nothing. She seemed to know I’d bought stuff from Europe, from Grimfrost. She was quite rude too. I told her I wouldn’t click any links, and if she was with DHL, I’d find a way to pay them directly. She didn’t seem to care. I asked if I could pay via PayPal, and she said yes, but honestly, I’ve never managed to do that before. I’m gonna check it out now.

RIPOFF - they seem to gather airway bills and tracking info, then ring you up saying your package is on delivery. They ask for money to cover customs charges, you pay up, and the parcel shows, so you assume all is fine. But actually, you didnt have to pay a thing - the parcel would have come anyway. This is the 5th time ive had a call from this number saying they are from DHL about some unpaid invoices. The person on the line was barely audible, left a phone number that wasn’t this one (something starting with 0344, which I think costs loads to call) and a reference code. I got in touch with DHL directly using their official email and they said they knew nothing about that reference and that I dont owe anything. Total scam alert.

Their tracking system, delivery times, and fees leave much to be desired. When I can, I prefer to go with DPD or Paisley Freight, even if it means shelling out a bit extra.
