About 19 hours ago, I shared my experience with this number. Usually, I ignore calls from unknown numbers. This time, it was a legit call from a call centre working with NHS medical appointments through external providers. So, definitely not a scam or anything dodgy.

This number popped up around 7:40pm. Normally I dont pick up if I dont recognise the number, but seeing the reviews here makes me think it might be legit. I'll hold tight and see if they call again, then I'll update my thoughts.

I suffer from panic attacks, so the last thing I needed was a random person calling me saying my GP told them to contact me about scheduling a diagnostic test. When I asked for details about the test, they just said they weren’t allowed to share any info. I told them I’d confirm with my doctor myself, and they just said alright, bye. Honestly, what’s going on with these GPs giving our phone numbers to strangers? What sort of test are they talking about, and why exactly? I googled what a 'diagnostic test' actually means and it freaked me out because it included tests for cancer, which just made my anxiety worse. Is it even normal for a GP to hand over our phone numbers to some organisation like InHealth to set up these tests? Feels so invasive and alarming.

So this afternoon, Wednesday 23rd August 2017 around 2:30, the phone rang. My mum answered and when she asked who it was for, the caller seemed confused and told her to ring back at 6pm. Mum assumed it was someone from the surgery, but when I dialled the same number later, a member of staff said they weren't sure if they'd received any calls for me. They checked their system, and usually they always ask for me directly since my mum’s not great with English. Weird thing is, someone seemed to have my name and managed to reach our unlisted number.
