Just so you all know, Gladstone Brookes has NEVER used this phone number. They’re also not working with the government to randomly call folks about PPI refunds. Don’t give out any personal info on the phone unless you’re 100% sure who’s on the other end. If you think you’ve been scammed, I’d recommend getting in touch with Action Fraud at https://www.actionfraud.police.uk/ right away. Stay safe!

Got a call from an asian guy who started by saying "I just have four quick questions for you". I cut him off straight away, told him I was ending the call, and hung up. Then I went ahead and blocked the number.

Got a call from +44 1494 418451, some Asian bloke who wanted to ask me a couple of quick questions. Thing is, he already knew my name, which felt a bit creepy. When I tried to say no thanks and end the call, he kept on telling me not to hang up. That really set off alarm bells. I've gone ahead and blocked the number now.

I received a call where they mentioned my name right off the bat. Naturally, I inquired who was on the line. The caller responded with a name and wanted to confirm if I was the person they were trying to reach. When I probed further about the company they were representing, they abruptly ended the conversation with a quick “Bye bye!” and hung up. Honestly, I’m so fed up with these nuisance calls!

Got a call at first from 07904801289, then this same number called me two more times. The bloke on the line had an Indian accent and claimed to be doing a national survey with just a couple of questions. After I hung up, he rang back straightaway, asking why I ended the call. Told him we’re on the TPS list, but he didn’t seem bothered and said he’d keep calling until I answered. Needless to say, I’ve blocked the number now.

Received a call from a mobile number trying to peddle some security system. Politely declined and hung up, but they were so persistent that they rang me back from a High Wycombe number, wanting to know why I ended the call. I reiterated that I had no interest in their offer, said my piece, and attempted to end the conversation. They then had the audacity to call me again! At that point, I decided enough was enough, hung up once more, and promptly blocked both numbers.

Got a call supposedly from Amazon Prime sayin' my subscription had jumped to £79.99 and to press one to discuss. I hit one, and guess what? It was someone with a thick accent, sounded like they were out on a busy street somewhere in India or around there. I told her outright she’s a right scammer. She actually hung up on me just as I was about to give her all my bank info! Typical. Honestly, it’s about time authorities got serious about these scams, cos most of 'em seem to come from our former colonies. Best just ignore these calls altogether.
