Got a call from 00441494259244 at 10:49 on 20/08/18. The lady on the line with an Asian accent claimed to be from Talk Talk’s tech team. I told her I’d been waiting ages for someone to get in touch because my internet’s been out for a whole week. Asked her when they’d send an engineer to sort it out. She just hung up on me! Not really a fan of fibbing, so does that make me a bad person or what?

Got a call earlier from someone with an Asian accent claiming to be from Talktalk. The usual scam about problems with my router. I asked her for the password I set up with Talktalk to verify, but she said she couldn’t give it and offered my account number instead. I told her I needed the password, and she just ended the call. Pretty clear they’ve got some info from a Talktalk leak and are trying their luck with scams.

The person claimed to be from TalkTalk and wanted me to do something on my non-existent laptop. Before I could even figure out what it was they were asking me to do, they got fed up and hung up.

This number has buzzed me 3 separate occasions. An asian lady named Kim from some busy call centre claiming to be from Talk Talk, saying there’s an issue with my technical setup. When I asked her for the support team’s direct line, she got really short and hung up. Next time she called, she said I was too busy to chat before, but I told her she’d actually ended the call when I asked for the help desk number. She ended the call again and gave it another shot. She’s used two different numbers including 0033096480678. Definitely a scam.

Got a call from an Asian woman saying she was with TalkTalk's Technical Support and told me there were some issues with my broadband. I asked her to confirm she was really from TalkTalk, which she did. When I told her I don’t actually get my broadband through TalkTalk, she just ended the call. Seems like a total scam to me. I've reported the number to About Fraud. Wonder how many others have fallen for whatever scheme they’re running.

Today at precisely 9:36 AM, this peculiar number rang through. My young lad picked up the call and I could hear him saying ‘hello’ multiple times before he got anxious and ended the call, looking rather shaken. He mentioned an automated female voice that chillingly uttered the words ‘you die’ just before it cut off. What sort of oddballs find amusement in this nonsense? They've clearly got far too much spare time on their hands, if you ask me!

Turns out, they were still connected on the other end - I even caught voices like from an office. Sounds like they was faking the hang-up but muting the call instead, pretty dodgy and I reckon it’s scam. These calls are getting on my nerves, had about 9 of them yesterday alone! Got a call from a noisy call centre with a woman who sounded Asian, went by "Jenny", saying she was from the "Microsoft Technical Department" and that I had error messages on my computer. Like I usually do in these cases, I said "Alright, just a sec, I’ll check", then put the phone down and left it for a while to waste their time. When I came back a bit later, the line was dead - they’d clearly hung up, not sure how long she stuck around.
