When I picked up, there was silence on the other end. From what I've heard, these are automated calls checking if someone's home, then they hang up and a real person rings shortly after. This time, the caller wanted a few quick opinions from me. I said yes at first, but then she started probing about my personal habits, probably to target me with adverts. I didn’t share any info and ended the conversation. She wasn’t impolite, but definitely didn’t appreciate me questioning her. I’ve now blocked the number so they won’t bother me again.

Got a call from this number earlier, someone was asking for my missus who wasn’t about. I just said I’d answer instead. The caller, a lady called Stella with a sort of Asian accent, said she was from UK Essential and wanted to get my thoughts on something. She then asked a load of questions - my age group, if I owned my home, which energy company I use, and what brand my washing machine is. I didn’t reply to any of it and when I told her it felt like a con and a total waste of my time, she just hung up on me. Proper frustrating!

Our landline got a call from 01493781908 and when I answered, there was just a strange automated voice that simply said “Goodbye!” Bit off, if you ask me. Pretty sure it was just one of those scam calls.

Today around 1 in the afternoon I got a call from a bloke named Max claiming he was from UK Shielding. He asked for me by my name and even knew my address but then started asking loads of questions I wasn’t willing to answer. I had a gut feeling this was a scam since I’m shielding, plus I know they don’t usually call from random numbers or ask those kinda questions. They try all sorts these days. In fact, this same number kept ringing me for Amazon about five times just last week, telling me to press one. Honestly, watch out, it’s dodgy!

I got a call from a woman with an accent I couldn't place, who asked for me by name. When I asked her who she was, she said "Linda from UK Essentials." I asked her what country she was calling from, and she got a bit annoyed, telling me she was in London and wondering why I asked. So I pointed out that the number on my phone didn’t have a London area code and asked her what the weather was like there now. She said she wasn’t sure since she was stuck in an office. I told her I doubted she was even in the UK, and then she cursed and hung up on me.

Got a call this morning at about half past eight from a woman with quite a thick accent, saying she was calling for something called UK Essential? I thought I was on the TPS already, so not sure why they're ringing me. She asked for a name that’s definitely not mine, and when I said so, she just suddenly ended the call. I looked up the number afterwards and stumbled across this site. I’m not picking up next time it calls - seems dodgy to me.

This number 01493 781908 rang me earlier, the bloke on the phone had a strong accent and was really impolite. He kept asking for someone by the surname, but there’s two people here - me and my mum. When I pressed him on which one he wanted, he just said “which one are you?” I told him to say whose name he was after since he called us. We argued a bit and then he just hung up when I asked who he was. Proper rude guy. This number had called a few times yesterday but I ignored it. Weird cos we don’t even know anyone in Great Yarmouth!

I got a call from a woman with an Indian accent claiming to be from "UK Essential" but that company isn’t real, and they couldn’t even provide a website.
