I got a call from someone with quite a thick foreign accent, sounded like they were in some busy call centre abroad. They said they were from Sky and told me I was overpaying on my phone bills, even tried to say I could get some money back. I didn't fall for it and blocked the number straight away. Definitely don’t give them any of your info!

I got a call from someone claiming they were from Sky, saying I'd been charged too much on my phone bills. They asked for details to "confirm my identity" so I could get some money back. I didn't share anything personal. You could hear loads of noise in the background, like a call centre, and the accent definitely wasn’t local. I challenged the bloke, asking him how long I'd supposedly been a Sky customer. After that, the call just got cut off.

Beware of Sky scams. I’d suggest checking out the comments here - loads of useful info shared by others. It’s really important that every scam call, text, or email gets reported straight to the cybercrime police unit that’s designed to make reporting easy for everyone. When I raised the matter with my MP about all the scam calls I keep getting, that's the advice they gave me. You’ll find the reporting details somewhere in this thread. Scammers definitely don’t want people to know this, so if you don’t report these dodgy attempts, don’t be surprised if nothing changes.
