Some woman rang me claiming she had important news about my Endowment policy - which I don’t even have! I just told her cheers and ended the call quick sharp. Honestly, these calls are just pathetic. Let me share a little advice from my experience with these scams... DON’T TRUST ANYONE and BE SUSPICIOUS of every call! They couldn’t care less about you, they only want to nick your money. Best thing is to say nothing and just hang up straight away!

Got a call this afternoon, 1 August 2016 around 4:27pm. The person asked to talk to my missus, said they were from MCAS. She was out shopping so they just ended the call. I decided to google MCAS afterwards and found out it's short for MyChildAtSchool, some kind of online system where parents can check their kid’s school progress live on the internet. Bit strange really!

this caller is a chugger pretending to be from a suffolk charity but theyre actually based in the usa. theyre using a uk number to make it look legit. as usual bt couldnt care less and ofcom seem to have no power to stop it. i reckon the info got leaked by the bt internet call centre somewhere in asia so watch out.

I got a random phone call about some supposedly mis-sold endowment policies. When I asked the caller for their name and address, I told them I was registered with the Telephone Preference Service and was thinking of reporting them. They just laughed and said it would be pointless. After that, I told them off pretty sharply. Not long after, they called me again. Felt like pure harassment to me.
