I received a rather dubious call today from someone claiming to be a BT technician. They were fishing for information about my internet connection and attempted to persuade me to grant them access to my computer. It felt awfully suspicious, as if they were trying to pull a fast one and possibly line their own pockets!

Got a call from someone saying he's Jim Anderson, said he was from BT Openreach, but I’m not even a customer of theirs. My actual internet company had a data leak lately, and ever since, I’ve been bombarded with all these random calls and emails. Definitely a con job. Told them to jog on pretty sharpish!
