The phone rang just about six times then stopped - I wouldn't have picked up without looking it up first. Glad I did after reading all the comments here. Strange thing is, recently I was sending back some Boots Hearing Care flyers, asking them to take a dead person's name off their mailing list. Can't quite recall which UK address it was sent to, though.

Not sure who this is but I've gotten about 10 calls from 01492863084 over the last couple weeks. I picked up a few times at first but all I got was silence. Now I just let it ring out. They've started calling more often too, not just around lunchtime on weekdays but mornings, afternoons, and even one at just after 8am on a Saturday. If it’s Boots, why won’t they stop? I get my prescriptions from a Boots way out from Colwyn Bay, never had any eye test calls or anything. Isn't there some kind of national way to track and report these annoying calls?

Got a couple of dodgy calls yesterday, ended it straight away as I thought it was a scam. Blocked the first number, but then got another from a similar one, blocked that too. Got loads of calls from this number when I was working, but couldn’t pick up and they never bother to leave a voicemail. From what I've seen in the comments, it looks like it’s Boots Hearingcare, but I’ve never used their services for my hearing (I’m actually sorting that with the hospital). Yeah, it was Boots Hearing Care ringing me from Colwyn Bay to remind me about my hearing appointment tomorrow in my local town, Spalding, which is well over 100 miles away. I don’t usually pick up numbers I don’t know, but I looked it up on Google and saw it was legit, so I called them back. With all the tech now, they really ought to show who’s calling properly instead of some random number - it’d stop loads of older or vulnerable folks from getting caught out by the ridiculous amount of scammers about, who our so-called authorities still haven’t cracked down on.

Received a text from Boots Audiocare asking me to give them a call. Turns out it was about cancelling my wife's hearing appointment scheduled for later today, 8 May. I noticed a missed call from Colwyn Bay too, and to my surprise, that was Boots as well. Looks like Boots is pretty well coordinated, but why are they calling from Colwyn Bay of all places? My clever wife, who insists she doesn’t understand mobile phones, somehow manages to share my number with just about everyone!

Based on what others have said, I reckon the call I got was from Boots as well. It just rang about six times then stopped, no voicemail left or anything. Seriously poor form for a call about booking a hearing test (I always have my volume up and my phone is set to ring for 8 rings before voicemail kicks in). The woman doing the test was incredibly rude though and said it should be repeated every couple of years.
