I stretched the call as long as I could, spinning a few tales about weird dreams I’d had the night before to keep him occupied. Proper waste of time, that one.Sky4 monthsSuch a bother, that energy scammer keeps pestering me!4 monthsGot a call from some automated robot trying to push windows and doors on me.4 monthsOn the 25th of March 2026 around 4.10 pm, my landline got a call from this number. When I answered and said hello a few times, there was no reply. I then dialled 1471 and pressed 3 to call back, hoping to see who'd rung me. An American voice came on, saying it was the Energy Department and to press 1 to talk to someone. But I just kept hearing the same message and couldn’t actually speak to anyone. In the end, I hung up. Definitely a scam call.Energy Department4 monthsGot a call from someone claiming to be from Sky about renewing my maintenance insurance. I played along and told him my telly was stuck on some dodgy website and wouldn’t switch channels. Then I asked what he reckoned I should do since my missus was just coming back from shopping at Harrods in her Rolls Royce, and hinted I suspected he was seeing her behind my back 😂. Honestly, it made me chuckle and kept him chatting for a fair bit. Definitely brightened my day!SkyHarrodsRolls Royce4 monthsThese days it’s the same old scam calls but with AI thrown in, makes it feel even more fake. I just ignore any number that looks dodgy and isn’t a usual UK format. No voicemail? Block and report straight away.
