Unlike lots of spam calls I’ve been getting lately, this one rang for quite a while before stopping. The number showed up as being from Colwyn Bay, but I don’t know anyone there. No voicemail left either. Blocked straight away.

What a dodgy operation! I received a call claiming they could 'settle' my contract prematurely, so I could switch to a superior network. The chap was anything but professional-he had a really unpleasant and aggressive manner. He mentioned he was with "Compare the Network," but I reckon it’s all a load of nonsense.

A woman on the other end of the line claimed she could offer me a superior deal on my phone plan. When she inquired about my mobile provider, she mentioned UK and then correctly identified my provider. Being the cautious person that I am, I couldn’t resist probing further, asking her how much she planned to swindle me out of and what monthly deductions I’d face from my bank account beyond whatever we'd settle on. To my amusement, she replied that there’d be no charges at all! I found it rather amusing, chuckled a bit, and promptly hung up and blocked her number.

somebody rang me saying they've got an offer to upgrade my android contract. problem is, i don't even own an android phone! when i told them they were cold calling me and that i'm on the no cold call list, she said she wasn't breaking any rules cos she got through to my number - ended the call straight after. honestly, these sorts should be stopped by the companies giving them phone access, same with those sending texts showing a name instead of a number to pretend they're in your contacts > phone providers, get your act together and stop letting this rubbish happen.

Got a call from someone trying to get me to upgrade an O2 contract. I played along for a bit then flipped it on them by saying, "That's good and all, but I don't actually have an O2 contract." They just hung up straight away!

I picked up the phone and the caller spoke so unintelligibly that I couldn't catch their name. When I asked them to repeat, they simply continued rambling on about upgrading an O2 contract-one that I don't even have! I told them I wasn’t with O2, but they persisted regardless. Meanwhile, the connection was all over the place, so I decided it was best to hang up and block the number. It felt a bit dodgy to me, though I didn’t stick around long enough to figure it out.

They ring you up, make one single call, and all you hear is this bizarre rustling sound before they abruptly disconnect. In a matter of seconds, you’re left feeling utterly perplexed, your mind racing to figure out who was on the other line. Naturally, curiosity gets the better of you, and you try ringing them back, only to discover they’ve got some outrageous fee of a hundred grand per minute! It’s absurd, really, and it seems there’s a legal grey area lurking, leaving you at risk of winding up behind bars if you can’t cough up the cash in time.
