The caller's accent led me to believe they were of Indian descent. They asserted they were representing BT and mentioned that my internet was experiencing sporadic speed issues, attributing this to a supposed security problem they could fix for me. However, their request for information was rather unclear, and I sensed something was amiss, prompting me to suspect the call was a scam. Curious, I looked up the number and found it registered to a firm in Scotland (https://uk-telephonedirectory.com/01491718-suretec-systems-ltd.html) called Suretec Systems Ltd, which should have been closed at the time of the call (Saturday at 10:46). This only strengthens my belief that they are trying to pull a fast one.
