This arvo I got a ring but couldn't make out the name. I listened to the voicemail a few times - it said something about a £300 attempt from Amazon earlier today, then mentioned a dodgy international transfer of £1,200. Supposedly it was flagged 'cos I'd never used that kind of service before. They told me to press 1 to cancel or 2 to chat to an advisor. The number they called from was brand new to me, and I checked my bank and there was nothing dodgy. Definitely just a scam trying to scare me.

I received a voicemail from someone purporting to be from a financial institution; it was rather unclear, but they mentioned there was some dodgy activity linked to my credit card. This morning, they flagged a £300 charge on Amazon and then this afternoon, they mentioned an international transfer of £1,200, which I’ve never even contemplated using before! Finally, they hit me with the typical options: press 1 to halt everything or press 2 to talk to a representative. Quite fishy, if you ask me!
