They tried to get me to open EVENTVWR on my computer, saying it would show errors they could fix by connecting me to a “main BT server”. Next, they told me to visit www.anydesk.com, which actually is a real site that lets you use an app for remote desktop access. They asked me to download the app - I pretended I did even though I hadn’t - then wanted the nine-digit code that pops up when you open it. I just made one up (438 412 431) because I was curious about what they’d say next.
