Just a few mins ago I picked up but stayed silent, then the person on the other end hung up.

Some bloke called Paul ringed me up, claiming my laptop was downloading some tricky file or whatever. He asked me to stay put by the computer so he could fix it for me, but I just ended the call straight away.

I got a call from someone saying they were from BT, telling me there was an issue with my internet. Since I’m not even a BT customer, I told them to quit wasting my time and find a real job. I’ve blocked the number now.

Somebody rang me saying they were calling from Microsoft about urgent updates I needed to install on my computer. They said they'd guide me through the process over the phone, but I told them my laptop is barely two weeks old and I already have Norton antivirus installed, so there’s nothing wrong. They got really insistent, and when I told them it sounded like a scam to steal my banking information, the person on the other end started shouting and then just hung up abruptly.

She sounded really aggressive, and as soon as I mentioned the phone preference list, she just hung up on me. Proper rude!

No idea who that was, just got cut off as soon as I picked up.

I picked up and the caller started talking about something to do with Microsoft, so I just ended the call. Feels like just another scam to me.
