Phone number ☎️ 01489602345 👆 is reported as a persistent scam caller using a female voice claiming to be from BT's service team, warning about supposed scam messages linked to your router. They press you for immediate action on your devices and might ring back repeatedly. It's especially troubling as they target vulnerable people, including elderly folks, trying to trick them into giving access or money. The calls appear quite convincing since they use local dialling codes, making it harder to spot. Visitors should be aware that these calls are not genuine BT alerts but rather attempts to cause worry or financial loss.

I've had five phone calls from a rather persistent woman by the name of Rose Watson, sporting a BT ID number of 50278062. She insisted she was representing the BT Service Department and claimed my router had been sending alerts to them about me receiving scam messages. She was quite keen to have me check all the devices connected to my router, which felt a tad off. After I mentioned I needed a bit of time to sort myself out, she promptly called back twice. Thankfully, it seems the calls have subsided for now.

My elderly mum got a call saying about £700 had been taken from her bank. Luckily, she didn’t press any buttons and called us straight away. It’s really worrying since the number had her local area code.
