I’ve had a few calls from numbers starting 01489 lately, all suspicious. One was a recorded message saying I owed Amazon £700 - total scam designed to scare you, especially older folks. I’ve blocked the number 01489577543 now. Since I didn’t pick up the other calls from the 01489 prefix, I can’t say if they’re the same, but best to be careful.

I got a voicemail from 01489577543 saying I owed £700 to Amazon. Clearly just a scam trying to scare folks, especially the elderly. I've blocked the number now so it can’t bother me again.
