11 yearsI pretty much had the same thing happen to me as the last person mentioned. The woman said she was ringing about a mortgage review follow-up, but she kept coughing badly down the line, which made it hard to catch where she was actually calling from - maybe on purpose? I told her my husband works at a high street bank and she pressed for which one it was. Since I never asked for their call, I didn’t feel like handing over that info. I told her I didn’t want any advice, and then she snapped that I shouldn’t waste her time! Absolutely shocking behaviour, considering I never invited their call in the first place. I really hope their calls get recorded and someone checks this out because she was definitely the one being rude. They’re basically lying to try and squeeze info to push mortgage deals.
