Received a call today, 21st October 2020, from the number 0148 921 4044. A woman with a thick accent alleged that there was a request to withdraw over £3,000 from our bank account and asked if we wished to stop the transaction. I hung up right away. This could be a rather perilous scam!

I attempted to call 0148 921 4044 just prior to 5:00 this evening, but was met with a pre-recorded message saying, "Apologies, there seems to be an issue. Please try again later." I obliged, yet received the exact same notification once more.
