Got another one of those O2 SIM scams yesterday, only this time they switched it up and called from a landline instead of a mobile number, thinking they were being sneaky or something. The caller had that typical South Asian accent. I asked him what area he was calling from, hoping to catch him out on the Hungerford number, and as soon as it was obvious, he just ended the call. Classic stuff!

Had some automated message about loft insulation, sounded pretty rubbish so I just hung up without listening.

Got a call from some bloke named James claiming he knew I owned the house and started going on about insulation and some government programmes. When I asked where he had got my number from, especially as I’m on the TPS, he insisted it was on a ‘list’. I kept telling him it’s not right to cold call people on the TPS but he just talked right over me. Eventually I told him to stop bothering me and hung up.

They rang me a couple of times, with the last two digits changing each time. I just ignored the calls and waited to see if they’d leave a voicemail, but nothing came through. So, I ended up blocking both numbers.
